Axonify and Grab Partner to Deliver Microlearning to Millions of Partners

A major struggle that many companies tend to run into during scaling is the inability to expand into overseas markets. That kind of struggle is not one Axonify is familiar with.

The Waterloo-based company has announced a new partnership with the Singapore-based Grab. Axonify will implement their microlearning platform to help Grab deliver a comprehensive onboarding and continuous learning program for millions of their partners across Southeast Asia.

Grab is an online-to-offline specialist that offers ride-sharing, package delivery, mobile payments and financial services. They chose Axonify’s platform due to the company’s scalability and its gamified approach to ongoing learning. Grab’s “Better 365” program is designed to improve the welfare of the company’s drivers, so this new Axonify partnership will help drive accountable training and assessment throughout the acquisition process.

With Axonify, Grab can offer personalized training modules and learning reinforcement activities that are based off a driver’s profile and needs. One of the best benefits for Grab comes from the fact that new driver-partners will be able to access training from any mobile device instead of having to travel to a central on-site location.

Grab is operating in Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The company’s six million daily active users have taken over two billion combined rides. Grab made headlines last year when SoftBank and Didi Chuxing invested a combined $2 billion in the platform.
