1-800-GOT-JUNK? announced this week that it has acquired San Francisco’s Delete, a burgeoning junk removal company that built its core business allowing customers to send pictures of their unwanted items and arrange for pickup by text message.
“We know that in order to sustain the exponential growth we’re experiencing, we need to find ways to continue to innovate and become even more customer-centric,” said Brian Scudamore, 1-800-GOT-JUNK?’s CEO and founder.
“Delete gained tremendous traction in a short time by eliminating friction for their customers. We’re excited to see how we can scale their learning.”
Delete will continue to operate in San Francisco as a 1-800-GOT-JUNK? partner.
This arm of the business will focus on technology innovation, leveraging key members of the Delete team and their technical skills to experiment and find new ways to make junk removal simple and efficient for customers.
Founder of Delete, Nate Warner, has signed on as General Manager to lead these efforts
“Looking at our two companies, it was clear we were both thinking about the same things—sustainability, efficiency and customer service—just addressing them in different ways,” said Warner. “I’m excited to see how we can innovate together and find new ways to delight our customers.”
