The 10 million user mark: Facebook reached it in 852 days, Twitter in 780 days, and Google+ in 16 days.

Altibox’s Leon Haland assembled this cool graph that visually portays the length of time it took three of the biggest social networks ever to reach their first 10 million users.

The norwegian technology evangelist’s graph shows that it took Facebook—which spent its early days as a college-exclusive network—852 days, or nearly 2.5 years, to reach its first 10 million users. It now has roughly 750 million.

Twitter took a little less—780 days, or just over two years. It now has over 200 million users.

Google+ has only been around for three weeks, but it reached 10 million users in just 16 days, or less than 1/20th of a year. It currently sits at about 20 million users and may hit 30 million by the end of the month.

Google knows how to scale and started with a solid base of Google Account users to draw from, so the comparison isn’t completely fair. Still, it’s remarkable to behold.
