Two Canadian Companies Win Global Startup Battle

25,000 people across 83 countries were involved in this year’s Global Startup Battle. But as the word “battle” suggests, it was a competition at heart, and only a select few came out champions.

Canada fared very well in the battles, with two startups winning tracks.

ConceptKicker from Vancouver won the “Champions” track. It’s a platform for artists to get their 2D design concepts to market.

Vello won the “Innovators” track. Hailing from Toronto, Vello uses sensors to direct airflow throughout home spaces.
