Made-to-measure suit seller Indochino is moving into the largest mall in the United States.
The 2,909-square-foot space will open December 14, becoming Indochino’s ninth showroom to open this year. The Vancouver-headquartered omnichannel company has opened 19 showrooms since its 2015 foray into brick-and-mortar locations.
Indochino CEO Drew Green called the Mall of America “a grand stage for international retailers,” an important move for the expanding brand’s visibility.
“This is the perfect next location for our rapidly growing brand. It allows us to introduce hundreds of thousands of men to the value and benefits of made to measure apparel and Indochino’s mission to elevate the way men shop,” said Green in a release.
While orders are still completed through Indochino’s e-commerce channel, the physical retailers mean bespoke suit buyers can have their measurements taken in person and guided through customizations from monograms to suit lining. Each garment is made to order and delivered in around four weeks.
Oren Rubin, Mall of America’s, assistant VP of leasing called the menswear company unlike any other brand at the Minnesota shopping center.
“Their services that provide men with not only a high quality, but also affordable, custom made apparel will resonate greatly with many of our guests who are looking for the that perfectly fitted wardrobe,” Rubin said.
Indochino recently opened a 14,000-square-food Seattle showroom, the company’s largest to date.
Although Indochino is rapidly expanding in the United States, the Vancouver company is also looking to grow its brand at home. Last month, Indochino inked a $40-million ad space deal with Postmedia in exchange for a portion of the custom suit sellers Canadian revenue over the next five years.
