On the heels of a North American expansion, custom suit seller Indochino has moved into a new head office in Vancouver and announced a handful of senior appointments.
The digital-based menswear company’s 14,000 square-foot downtown space is more than twice the size of their previous headquarters. The two-floor office will now house their growing 80 person head office team.
This year, the made-to-measure menswear company has opened seven showrooms in North America, bringing their total number of retail stores to 17. While they are the largest online retailer offering tailored suits, Indochino’s goal is to become the leading global menswear brand.
CEO Drew Green said Indochino has evolved extensively over the past three years, becoming an omnichannel leader with their online business and physical showrooms.
“The spacious new office will be able to support our growing team and is the perfect venue for us to collaborate and implement our expansion strategy,” said Green.
“These decisions are made easier when we see the level of execution, growth and profitability we are achieving this year. The move is reflective of my admiration for our entire team’s work and our vast opportunities together in the months, years and decades ahead.”
Once strictly an online company, Indochino disrupted the world of custom men’s suits with its $450 made-to-measure alternative. They opened their first permanent brick-and-mortar store in 2015. The retail stores now make up 50 per cent of Indochino’s business.
Green highlighted Indochino’s commitment to multifaceted growth.
“In order to continue scaling the business, it is imperative that we bring our most talented, experienced people into roles that will focus on driving omnichannel growth and further enhancing our customer experience.”
As such, the company handed out a number of promotions to the head office team.
Their chief marketing officer Peter Housley will transition into a chief revenue officer role. Michael MacIntyre is rejoining the company as the newly appointed vice president of e-commerce and omnichannel strategy. Janet Jensen, Indochino’s director of people and culture, will become the company’s vice president of experience.
So far in 2017, the company has promoted 45 people in multiple cities and several teams.
