An innovation accelerator founded by Arlene Dickinson’s District Ventures and IBM Canada is looking for its next cohort of entrepreneurs.

Recently opened in March, the District Ventures and IBM Innovation Space was created to foster an entrepreneurial environment and support companies as they rapidly innovate and accelerate their ideas.

Embracing the idea that entrepreneurialism isn’t reserved for start-ups, the Calgary-based program brings entrepreneurs and large enterprises together to tackle the country’s biggest business challenges and collaborate on innovative projects.

The accelerator works with entrepreneurs to scale their business plans, supporting them with disruptive technology—including IBM’s AI-powered Watson—and business mentorship.

The Innovation Space is looking for a wide-range of entrepreneurs from industries including fintech, cleantech, healthtech, agtech and natural resources. Interested candidates can apply until September 15, 2017 to join the next cohort starting November 1, 2017.
