Furthering Integration with Microsoft, LinkedIn Launches Desktop App for Windows 10

LinkedIn has released a dedicated desktop application for Windows 10.

The Microsoft-owned platform says the app is designed to offer a faster, more efficient, and more deeply integrated experience than one gets from LinkedIn’s website on Windows.

“With our new desktop application, Windows 10 users can enjoy a richer, more engaging and connected LinkedIn experience,” says LinkedIn product manager Hermes Alvarez. “The LinkedIn app for Windows 10 makes it easier than ever to connect to opportunity, work smarter, and tap into your professional potential.”

The app is accessible from users’ Start menu and taskbar and can be pinned as a Live Tile. It also integrates with Action Center to deliver updates, including new messages, insights on who’s viewed your profile, and trending news.

“The LinkedIn app for Windows 10 provides a more engaging and fully integrated LinkedIn experience that is quickly accessible from your Start menu and taskbar,” explains Alvarez.  “In the Action Center and Live Tile, the app delivers real-time notifications.”

The app is available for free in 22 languages for starting today on the Windows Store.
