Uber’s primary rival this week unveiled a new milestone: Lyft now provides more than one million rides each day.
The company says the milestone comes after 48 consecutive months of growth. Rides have grown 100% year-over-year.
“This year has been especially exciting for Lyft,” the company wrote online. “In January, we set a goal of launching in 100 new communities across the country by the end of 2017. Today, Lyft operates in over 360 communities, serving nearly 80 percent of the US population.”
Lyft’s growth is impressive, but the company’s scale still pales in comparison to that of Uber, which recently delivered its five billionth trip.
“As more and more people choose Lyft and we continue to grow, we’ll remain focused on providing the best experience to our passengers and drivers,” Lyft says. “Here’s to a million more rides tomorrow.”
