Levi’s to Launch Commuter Jacket with Google Tech Embedded in Fabric
Levi’s and Google have collaborated to create new wearable technology: a trucker jacket. Specifically, the Levi’s Commuter x Jacquard by Google Trucker Jacket.
Launching this spring, it is the first smart garment with Jacquard by Google technology woven in.
“Stay connected, not distracted, as you get directions, information on nearby places, change your music, and answer calls,” says Levi’s. “The Levi’s Commuter x Jacquard by Google Trucker Jacket continues this legacy by offering seamless connectivity and a safer ride. Be in the moment on and off your bike.”
The Jacquard technology uses conductive fabric to turn clothing into a connected device comparable to a smartwatch in that it sends commands for your phone to carry out.
