Fitbit Unveils Alta HR, World’s Slimmest Heart Rate Tracker

Today Fitbit unveiled its latest wearable technology, the Alta HR, which it claims is the world’s slimmest wristband with continuous heart rate tracking.

The Alta HR builds on the original Alta with upgrades like heart-rate-powered features and improved battery life.

“When Fitbit released Alta last year, it quickly became a best-seller, much loved for its smaller, stylish design,” says Fitbit news editor Danielle Koseck. “There was just one thing missing: heart rate tracking.”

The Alta HR offers up to seven days of battery life and comes in new band colors and materials. It’s slated to launch next month for $150.
