RunGo Updates App for Apple Watch Series 2

RunGo has updated its app for Apple Watch Series 2. The Vancouver-based startup offers the first running app with turn-by-turn navigation on the comfort of your wrist, letting you track runs and explore routes with confidence—whileleaving your iPhone at home.

“As a runner, I love to explore but also have a terrible sense of direction,” explains Craig Slagel, founder. “RunGo was built to solve that problem and give runners access to routes with turn-by-turn voice navigation curated by local running communities.”

Using built-in GPS, RunGo for Apple Watch Series 2 lets you transfer your favorite running routes from your phone to your watch and run independently without your iPhone, while being guided by voice navigation throughout your run.

“I always wanted RunGo on a wearable device but until the Apple Watch Series 2, there was nothing available on the market with the technology we needed,” Slagel added. “The unique accessibility features of iPhone and Apple Watch make that possible.”

RunGo also offers navigation, mapping and tracking technology for runners who want to safely discover new running routes. There is also a Crown Control feature, which allows you to Pause, Resume and Stop your run using the Digital Crown on your Apple Watch.

The RunGo app for Apple Watch Series 2 is available for free download from the App Store on iPhone and Apple Watch.

RunGo, inspired by an adopted, retired guide dog named Dynasty, now boasts a library of over 50,000 routes worldwide, including running tours curated by local running communities.
