Apple May Join Partnership on AI After All, Sources Say

Apple is reportedly set to join the Partnership on AI, a research group consisting of five heavy hitters: Amazon, Alphabet, Google, Facebook, and Microsoft.

Apple will make the announce as soon as this week, according to sources cited in Bloomberg.

Apple was among the early adopters of consumer-facing technology when it launched Siri in 2011. However, the company’s advancements have been minimal since then, at least externally.

The aim of the partnership is to “conduct research, recommend best practices, and publish research under an open license.”
