GoPro Recalls Karma Drone Due to Random Power Loss

GoPro just endured an awful quarter. It looks like the next one won’t be any better.

The company is now recalling its first-ever drone, the $800 Karma, because some units have been reportedly losing power during operation.

It’s a small-scale recall: GoPro only sold 2,500 Karma units since they launched October 23. Still, it’s the last thing the struggling company needed right now.

“We are working in close coordination with both the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and Federal Aviation Administration,” CEO Nick Woodman said in a statement. “We are very sorry to have inconvenienced our customers and we are taking every step to make the return and refund process as easy as possible.”
