If you were hoping to walk into an Apple Store tomorrow and buy an iPhone 7, you may be out of luck. A statement from Apple suggests demand is outstripping supply. The Plus models are all gone—and good luck getting anything in Apple’s new jet black color.
“During the online pre-order period, initial quantities of iPhone 7 Plus in all finishes and iPhone 7 in jet black sold out and will not be available for walk-in customers,” Apple said.
This year, Apple decided not to release first-weekend sales numbers as it traditionally has. But wireless carriers have all confirmed that demand for the iPhone is higher than ever.
