Samsung Recalls 2.5 Million Galaxy Note 7 Smartphones Worldwide Due to Exploding Battery

Samsung this week admitted to having quality control issues with the Galaxy Note 7, but today we found out things are much worse than originally believed.

The company is recalling millions of Galaxy Note 7 smartphones. The worldwide recall follows reports of the devices catching fire while charging.

The timing is terrible. The Note 7 was released last month and Apple’s iPhone 7 is unveiled next week.

In addition to the recall, Samsung is halting all sales. The company must now work to replace up to 2.5 million Note 7s.
