Tech Companies Among Finalists for Canada’s Most Disruptive and Innovative Entrepreneurs

EY has recognized the most disruptive and innovative companies Canada, divided by regions. EY celebrates those who are building and leading successful businesses, recognizing them through regional, national and global awards programs in more than 140 cities in 50 countries.

In the Pacific region, finalists include Shoes.com (Consumer Technology category), Canada Drives (Fintech), and Stemcell Technologies (B2B).

“We exceeded our expectations with respect to the number of nominations in the Pacific region this year,” says Lui Petrollini, Entrepreneur Of The Year Pacific Program Director. “This is a testament to an increasingly impressive entrepreneurial culture in British Columbia, a province which continues to lead the country in economic growth.”

In Ontario, EY recognized companies including Digital Extremes (media), Aeryon Labs (technology), and Miovision (technology).

“Entrepreneurs have big ideas and take risks as they innovate, create jobs, generate wealth and invest in communities across the country,” says François Tellier, Entrepreneur Of The Year national program director. “Ontario has so many impressive and successful entrepreneurs, and I know it wasn’t an easy task for the independent panel of judges to narrow down from 165 nominees to 50 finalists.”

Finalists were also announced for the Praries, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada.
