Big Viking Games Named One of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People

First published in 2002, Canada’s Top Employers for Young People is an editorial competition organized by the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project.

This special designation recognizes the employers that offer the nation’s best workplaces and programs for young people just starting their careers.

The employers on this list are Canada’s leaders in attracting and retaining younger employees to their organizations.

For the third year running, Big Viking Games has been recognized as one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People.

According to Big Viking Games’ Nicholas Jones, “This award is really close to the heart of our organization as our Viking Values focus heavily on creating a work environment that attracts young talent and enables them to succeed and develop professionally.”

Obviously this approach has been paying dividends for Big Viking Games in hiring young Canadian professionals. Big Viking Games recently welcomed their 100th employee, and their Toronto studio, which started out as a satellite of their London, ON headquaters, has doubled in size in the last couple of months.

“The winning organizations recognize that younger employees are where the new ideas come from,” says Kristina Leung, Senior Editor of the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project.. “Making your workplace attractive to younger employees brings in new ways of thinking about your business model, both in terms of technology and how your organization delivers its key products and services .”
