The Shopify platform now integrates with Intuit’s QuickBooks Online.
The integration allows Shopify merchants to update and transfer business financials. All ecommerce transactions now flow into QBO automatically, improving sales transaction accuracy and eliminating the need for manual reconciliation.
The QBO ecosystem now connects the 200,000 Shopify merchants to a global base of small business owners and 1,000 small business apps available in QBO.
Intuit believes cultivating a “holistic, integrated and personalized financial management platform for small businesses is paramount to fueling entrepreneurial success in Canada.”
Shopify generated $52.8 million in revenues during the third quarter of 2015, a 93% increase from the third quarter of 2014. During the quarter Shopify integrated with Amazon, Facebook, and Twitter.
“While these initiatives are still in their early stages, we see strong potential for all of them to contribute to our long-term growth,” said Tobi Lütke, Shopify’s CEO.
