Jaguar Land Rover Chooses AppCarousel for Cloud App Services
Calgary-born AppCarousel announced yesterday that it has been selected by Jaguar Land Rover to operate a range of cloud services for the provisioning of apps and content to Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles.
Founded in 2011, AppCarousel delivers and operates curated marketplaces, developer programs and commerce solutions for electronics, automotive, hardware and technology brands.
AppCarousel was acquired by Montreal’s AppDirect earlier this year.
The connected car is now a reality and drivers are demanding the best information and entertainment services at their fingertips. Gartner predicts over a quarter billion connected vehicles by 2020.
Apps and information feeds are a key part of that, and AppCarousel will power the cloud services for Jaguar Land Rover’s most advanced multimedia system ever, InControl Touch Pro.
