The Waterloo startup launched a lead management solution that allows startups and small-to-midsize businesses to “market like their bigger brand cousins.”
The freemium solution, called Blitzen, goes beyond traditional marketing platforms to help SMBs identify promoters and improve retention rates with existing customers.
According to a recent report by the research firm Software Advice, a division of Gartner, 98% of SMBs are reportedly shopping for marketing software for the first time, with lead management being cited as their number one priority.
“We found that lead data quality and capturing actionable customer insights are still surprisingly big challenges for SMBs,” says Jesse Guild, CEO at Blitzen. “It presented us with an opportunity to fill a gap.”
Blitzen went through Communitech Rev, a program ith a focus on sales designed to help companies accelerate revenue growth. During the program, companies received six months of residency at the Communitech Hub, sales focused programming, access to mentors, and introductions to potential customers and investors.
