Canadian professionals are most deterred by low levels of job security, a new survey has found.
LinkedIn’s newest “Employer Branding” survey also shows the importance of investing in reputations for employers. While 61% of Canadian professionals cite job security as a top concern, a reputation of poor leadership (46%) and a poor external reputation among other professionals (39%) also stand out as concerns.
However, a pay increase of 10% or more is enough to persuade a quarter of professionals to erase their concerns. For the rest though, these concerns can be deal breakers.
38% of Canadian professionals are unwilling to accept a role where a risk of job security was present, LinkedIn says, no matter what salary they were offered, while 31% of workers would be unwilling to moving to a company with dysfunctional and poorly performing teams, regardless of the remuneration offered.
