Ashley Madison may be growing, but that still doesn’t mean anyone is actually successfully using the site to have an affair.
Despite tens of millions of members, nobody can seem to find anyone who cheated through the platform. One reason might be that there’s virtually no real woman on the site. The company has basically been operating a scam on dudes since it started.
“31 million men, each of whom paid hundreds, sometimes thousands, of dollars and I am unable to find anyone who scored,” John McAfee writes for Business Insider. Why? “There was no one there to hook up with.”
McAfee cited both data and anecdotes.
According to parent company Avid Life Media, though, “recent media reports predicting the imminent demise of Ashley Madison are greatly exaggerated.” The Canadian company says that in the past week, “hundreds of thousands of new users signed up for the Ashley Madison platform—including 87,596 women.”
