Landr Raises $8 Million Series A from Rapper Nas, Others for Audio Production Tool

Landr has raised USD$6.2 million, or nearly $8 million.

The Series A round comes from Plus Eight Equity Partners, Real Ventures, and YUL Ventures, as well as Nas, a legendary rap artist.

The investors are interested in Landr Audio, an automated digital audio post-production tool. Mastering albums can cost multiple thousands of dollars, the startup notes, an expensive and time-consuming process Landr believes it can effectively streamline.

Nas says Landr Audio is “an affordable groundbreaking technology to help musicians make music that has a quality finish like any major label artist with a budget.”

Founded in Montreal, Landr was originally a subscriber-based company called MixGenius.
