2015 Communitech Bootcamp for Female Founders Offers $100K in Seed Funding

Communitech has announced that applications are open for the second Women Entrepreneurs Bootcamp.

The Communitech Women Entrepreneurs Bootcamp will bring together twenty five female founders for a six-day program culminating in a pitch competition for $100K in seed funding on October 1, 2015.

The Bootcamp is a six-day launch program focused on ideation and building business ideas. In its second year, the program is open to entrepreneurs with a tech or tech-based idea at a pre- minimum viable product stage.

Participants will receive hands-on mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs and experts as they build their business model and work toward refining their product offering. Finalists chosen at the end of the program will have the opportunity to pitch for $100K in seed funding, four times more than was available in 2014.

The inaugural bootcamp received applications from across Canada, US and Europe, including eventual participants and pitch winners Suncayr, DraftingSPACE, Binary Tattoo, and FocusOnCare.

The application deadline is Monday, June 15, 2015. Participants will be notified by Wednesday, July 15, 2015. The Women Entrepreneurs Bootcamp is made possible through the financial support of Deloitte.
