Camp Tech is expanding its successful training workshops in the nation’s capital this spring.
With more than 100 workshops now running in Toronto per year since its launch in 2012, Camp Tech is becoming a go-to source for web and technology training.
Founder Avery Swartz says entrepreneurs and small business owners have particularly embraced Camp Tech sessions as now, unlike inthe past, simply having a website is not enough.
“I’m in the web and technology business, but noticed an alarming and growing trend: that there weren’t strong technology training options for businesses and professionals,” says Swartz. “Camp Tech grew out of this need, and continues to expand.”
Classes are beginner-friendly and focus on developing practical tech skills that people can put into practice right away. Camp Tech workshop topics in the past have included WordPress for Beginners; The Business of Blogging; and Google Analytics.
“Businesses are now expected to have an SEO-friendly website, a buzzing social media presence, and powerful content marketing campaigns,” says Swartz. “That’s a lot for small business owners to take on, so we want to give them the tools they need to be successful.”
Classes start in Ottawa and Waterloo in May,
