BlueBat Games Acquired by Greentube

BlueBat Games has been acquired.

The Vancouver-based social game developer was scooped up by Greentube, owned by the Novomatic Group, for an undisclosed sum.

The announcement was made at the ICE Totally Gaming Conference in the UK.

BlueBat’s connection with Greentube is not new: the Canadian startup created the company’s turnkey private label social casino marketing platform, Greentube Pro.

“We worked closely with the BlueBat team on a number of projects in the past year,” explains Thomas Graf, CEO of Greentube Internet Entertainment Solutions GmbH. “After the launch of Greentube Pro, it became apparent that BlueBat and Greentube’s approach to social gaming were in direct alignment.”

Now BlueBat will develop white label solutions for casino operators in North America, where Greentube’s presence is currently negligble.

BlueBat was founded in 2011 by Kenny Huang and Tim Harris and was part of GrowLab’s Spring 2012 cohort.

“Our alliance with Greentube strengthens our ability to deliver the best possible social gaming platforms in the most expeditious manner,” noted Huang.
