Vidyard Names Tyler Lessard Chief Marketing Officer

Vidyard announced this morning that Tyler Lessard has joined the company as their new Chief Marketing Officer.

Vidyard was a finalist for Techvibes’ 2013 Startup of the Year Award and was just named to the Tecvhibes 20.

Lessard was previously the VP of global alliances and developer relations at BlackBerry and most recently with Toronto’s Fixmo.

Lessard is being tasked with extending Vidyard’s market leadership, driving sales momentum, and overseeing corporate marketing and business development.

Since the company’s founding in 2010, Vidyard has raised more than $8.5 million from investors and CEO Michael Litt has hinted at an IPO some day. Vidyard saw its revenue grow 19x in 2013, reporting 1800% revenue growth.

“Vidyard is uniquely positioned as a pioneer and global leader in the rapidly emerging market of advanced video marketing and analytics,” Lessard told Techvibes exclusively.

“I’m thrilled to be joining a team that truly understands the growing impact of online video content for marketing and education, as well as how to help organizations maximize the returns on their video assets through powerful analytics and best-in-class reporting on actual usage and viewer engagement data. It’s an exciting market to be a part of, and one that delivers demonstrable and high-impact value to customers across all industries.”
